Hello Bird Lovers!,

I would like to congratulate the new officers for 2011 and say thank you to those who held a position over the last several years for your voluntary service. The club has made it this far because of your consideration.

Congratulations to Joan Burditt - she was the recipient of the Crystal Egg Award this year, it was noted as being for her continued support with our hospitality. Thank you Joan!

2011 will be an exciting year for the club! Several new officers in place, still relatively new fair location and probably the most exciting - we will be the host club for the National Cage Bird Show "Your Show of Shows"! Several people in our club have worked very hard to secure that show in Kansas City - special thanks to all of them! Job well done!

I also want to say thank you to all of you, the members, for your support and for expressing the confidence you have in me as your new president. I hope to serve you well and demonstrate the level of leadership this club deserves. I encourage you to share with me where you think the club should go from here. I want to know what you would like to see the club do. Stop me, call me or email me - I listen all the same. See you at the meeting!
